Why 316L Stainless Steel?
Stainless Steel 316L is a low carbon content version of 316 Stainless Steel.
The addition of Molybdenum gives Type 316 increased corrosion resistance to that of Type 304.  The addition of chromium
to low carbon steel gives it stain resistance. In addition to iron, carbon, and
chromium, modern stainless steel may also contain other elements, such as
nickel, niobium, molybdenum, and titanium. Nickel, molybdenum, niobium, and
chromium enhance the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. It is the
addition of a minimum of 12% chromium to the steel that makes it resist rust,
or stain ‘less’ than other types of steel.
Why Silicone?
The silicone gasket is the choice material for HHO dry cell as it has a wide temperature range from cold winter to high temperature. It is the best electrical insulator to separate the metal plates. It also provides a water tight seal.
