Currently shipping modules are produced on the factory made PCBs (green color solder masked) and encapsulated in epoxy for isolation purpose.
Color of the resin may vary (transparent or black – depending on the current supply)
Each module is professionally tested after manufacture and before shipping.

In the below graph a dependency of the output voltage on constant load current is provided for when the device is preset for 400V and powered from 5V power source.
To correctly estimate the power of the HV generator, measurement was taken with the serial, output 5,1MΩ current limiting resistor removed.
Micro-ampermeter with a very low (10μV/1μA burden voltage) was used to do the measurement so the graph is rather precise.
The

current where the voltage begins to drop below 397V is 107,8μA while one section geiger tube

currents are usually in magnitude of 1 to 3

Multi-section pancake geiger tubes are accommodated well too i.e. SBT11 ( which has 4 sections ) has a combined current specified at min. 4

. It means that at the maximum specified count rate these tubes shall be correctly powered with the at the nominal working voltage without compromise.
On the shipping device
the
5,1MΩ
resistor
is installed
by default
as geiger tubes usually need such resistor with its values starting form around
5,1MΩ.
Therefore if for reasons of you intended use you would like the device without the above mentioned resistor please let me know during purchase.
